Ain Shams University (Arabic: جامعة عين شمس) is a public university located in Cairo, Egypt. Founded in 1950, the university provides education at the undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels. Ain Shams University, as the third Egyptian college, was established in July 1950 under the name of Ibrahim Pasha’s University.
It took part with the two prior colleges, ‘Cairo College’ (Fua’d the first ) and ‘Alexandria College’ (Farouk the first) in satisfying the message of colleges and fulfilling the rising need of youth for advanced education. At the point when it was first settled, Ain Farces College included various recognized resources and scholarly foundations, which were subsequently formed into college.
Its site used to be a former royal palace, called the Zafarana Palace. The two earlier universities of this kind are Cairo University and Alexandria University.
